Ireland trip for Russ' 50th - Day 1
The Doerners and friends went to Ireland for Russ' 50th. We arrived Sunday April 5th. We successfully rendezvoused with Billy (plus Liz, Lilly and Corinne), as well as with Alan and Carol.
Next we had to rent (or hire) a car. It was supposed to fit 6 people, but the jury is out on that.
Next we drove to Malahide. We stayed at the Grand Hotel and had two things on our list of things to do: go to Malahide Castle and go to Dublin to the Guiness Factory. (I'm writing this, so ... Actually, the first thing we had to do was find somewhere to feed the kids) That was a major thing to do throughout the trip.
From Malahide, we took a train to Dublin. Once there, we wandered around Dublin, trying to find the Guiness factory. It was much further than we had expected, but we had fun and saw many things along the way.
Finally, we found it, but declared that we would take a taxi back.
From the top, in the Gravity Bar, we could see a 360 degree panorama of Dublin.

Found a letter from mum dated 9/10/07
James needs a new ligament in his ankle. He is really excited though because he is training with the Magpies Academy for football.
Both mum and I have visual migraines. Apparently, they run in families. You can look them up. They are weird and hard to explain.

Just talking to Tom and updating the family news and he said. Why not start a blog. So here is the blog.
